WEIGHT THOUGHT #6: Numbers don’t actually mean anything.
At this point, this really isn’t something that has to be said, but apparently people need to hear it 150 times over: weighing X does not mean you are healthier, fitter, better, prettier, whatever-er. Eating more of what’s good for you and less of what’s bad for you COULD ACTUALLY MEAN YOU LOSE ZERO WEIGHT. There are actually people in the world for whom being healthy means gaining weight. There is no one number, there’s a range–and even within that range there are exceptions. Thinking otherwise is honestly a waste of time. And probably indicative of something else.
