How I Should Think About My Weight (If I Absolutely Must)

WEIGHT THOUGHT #5: What exactly is going to happen when I reach my magical ‘goal weight?’

Seriously what? Like, in all seriousness, let’s all focus for one second on the imaginary perfect life that we think the perfect weight will bring us–man or woman–and just tell me what that looks like. Your husband suddenly notices you and loves you a whole lot more? You’ll never argue with your boss ever again? That woman you’ve been into since college will suddenly fawn and pine all over you? Nope, nope, nope–all crap. The most beautiful thing about having self confidence is that it doesn’t magically disappear the minute you gain a certain amount of weight. It is always there, no matter what. Any human being who is ever going to be genuinely drawn to you for any reason will be drawn to THAT not some weird, oddly specific number of kilograms you happen to weigh.
