How I Should Think About My Weight (If I Absolutely Must)

WEIGHT THOUGHT #3: Am I thinking about my weight or my health?

Ah, there’s the double-whammy. It sounds like a really simple question but trying to find an accurate, honest answer for it is slippery at best. Here’s what I figure it comes down to. If you, like anyone on Earth, would like to be a healthy person (as in stronger, fitter, more physically able) and you are following a line of media messages that inspires you or instructs on how to be that, THEN AWESOME. Being healthy feels freaking amazing! But ‘healthy’ is not a number. So if you’re wondering how much more you have to shrink so that others can consider you more attractive based on some bogus slew of social perceptions fed by media images THEN NOPE SORRY.
